Danny Floyd, Board Member
A native of Navasota, Texas, Danny relocated to Bertram with his parents at the age of 16 and, even though the move was “against his will,” he has made it home. After graduating from Burnet High School, he attended TSTI in Waco and earned an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering. He and his father started D.I.J. Construction, Inc. in November 1983, in Bertram. That business began performing highway pavement markings in the early 1990s and now performs sealcoat paving as well as manufacturing thermo plastic paint, and is still going strong in 2025 with branches in Giddings and Kempner. He also loves land development and has built commercial property in town. His love for Bertram is evident in his involvement in transitioning the town from the sleepy little town he found as a teenager to a growing city with businesses and many more residents.
The Community Cupboard Board of Directors is just one of the places he volunteers his time to benefit the residents of Bertram and Burnet. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Burnet and serves as a Deacon and on various committees. He is also on the Board of the Hill Country Community Foundation.
He and his wife, Wynn, a Bertram native, have three grown sons and 7 grandchildren.

Darrell Tank, Board Member
Darrell Tank currently lives in the Oatmeal area and has been a resident there for the past 5 years. Prior to that, Darrell and his family made the move from Iowa to Austin, TX. about 25 years ago. He spent the majority of his career in the field of Business Development working with large refinery, pharmaceutical and chemical companies to provide end-to-end plant automation. Darrell took early retirement a few years ago to build his home in Oatmeal and to spend much of his time donating his construction skills to local community projects.
Darrell and his wife, Teresa, have three sons and a total of five grandchildren located in the Houston and Gulfport, MS. areas. His current interests are to spend as much time as possible with his own family and also the many relatives that still reside in Iowa. Darrell enjoys all sports but is a huge Iowa Hawkeye follower and of course a Caitlin Clark/Indiana Fever fan.
Darrell always enjoys meeting new people and especially those who have a willingness to get involved with community projects that will benefit anyone who can use some extra help. Living in a small community where people help each other reminds him of small town Iowa and he's proud to call the Oatmeal/Bertram area his home today.

Tex Reyes, Board Member
Tex was born and raised in Bertram, Texas and has lived there for much of his life, aside from some time in Nashville and Alabama. He comes from a large family with pretty deep roots in small town Bertram. As the youngest of 8, Tex got to experience a lot growing up that helped shape him into who he is today. As a child, he spent most of his time outdoors, whether playing some sort of sport or spending time at the local swimming pool. He went on to play college football until he suffered a severe knee injury and could no longer play. During the time of his injury, while feeling lost, he learned to lean on his Lord and was blessed to meet his future wife. He went on to receive an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Management at Blinn College, and finished his Bachelor of Science in Health and Fitness Management, with a minor in Business at Texas State University.
Following college, Tex spent some time working in the oil field before moving back to Bertram in 2015 to begin his career at D.I.J Construction. Initially a supervisor, he now holds the position of Estimator. In his free time, Tex enjoy sports, fitness, and the outdoors. He and his wife of 11 years are glad to be raising a son, daughter and 3 small puppies in the town where he grew up. He is also thankful for the opportunity to give back to his community as a member of the Bertram Community Cupboard Board of Directors.
