According to the Texas Education Agency, 58.4% of students in Burnet CISD are considered economically disadvantaged. At Bertram Elementary, the number is even higher, with 61.2% of students identified as economically disadvantaged. These statistics are not just numbers—they represent our children, our neighbors, and our community. This is why the Bertram Community Cupboard is so important, and why your support matters!

Food Donations

Host A Food Drive

Food donations are critical to the ongoing mission of collecting and redistributing thousands of pounds of food to individuals and families in our area who don’t know where their next meals are coming from. By donating today, you’ll be helping a large network of individuals we serve weekly.

Food donations may be brought to the Bertram Community Cupboard (112 Grande St, Bertram) on Tuesdays from 2:00-6:00pm or Thursdays from 10:00am-2:00pm.

A food drive is a great way for individuals, groups, and businesses to gather food donations that will be distributed by the Bertram Community Cupboard to those in need.

If you are interested in hosting a food drive to benefit the Bertram Community Cupboard please contact Michelle Blake at 512-635-6455. She will provide you with information regarding specific needs, types of food, preferred packaging, and any specific quantities needed. Choose a location and date and promote the event. Michelle will work with you regarding drop-off dates/times. We are grateful for your kindness and support of the Bertram Community Cupboard!
